NTTG is a working group of the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP – www.aesop-planning.eu/thematic-groups). It was created with the goal of improving the communication and the knowledge between AESOP members on what is the state of the art, the methodologies and the practice of New Technologies in Planning. The topics span from: The university and the courses taught on New Tech.; the research at AESOP member schools; the research labs; the new technologies and the practice of planning; the information and communication technology (ICT).

Understanding the status of the AESOP member schools on these subjects, will allow to increase the awareness of Professor/Researcher for the important function that New Tech. present for the universities and students; as well as being able to reinforce a substantive area of planning at the universities/departments.

The goal of this survey it to tackle three different areas on what concerns New Technologies:  teaching/practicing with the use of new technologies, researching on/with the support of new technologies; and the information and communication area that New Tech. represent.
