We want to inform you about the Call for applications of Post-Doctoral and Researcher Scholarships of SMUS – the Global Center of Spatial Methods for Urban Sustainabilities! Deadline for application is Wednesday, 31 May 2023. Please note: The potential applicants must be part of SMUS partner institutions (50 institutions in 8 world regions – interactive map to be found here). SMUS-scholarships are available for (TRACK A) young academics at an early stage of their academic career (post-doctoral phase, with a PhD finished within the past 2 years) or (TRACK B)  advanced researchers/junior professors/lecturers, that want to engage in south-to-south or south-to-north research collaborations. The hosting institution can be any SMUS partner institution. Duration of the scholarship is minimum 3 month, maximum 6 month to be spent in person at any SMUS partner institution.

Information can be found also on our SMUS website along with the introduction of former scholarship holders. We welcome applications that contribute to the achievement of the SMUS main objective: a) evolving comparative studies across developing countries; b) deriving common principles of urban space usage and management and; c) understanding the intricacies  of contextual knowledge.
