C-NEWTRAL Doctoral Network is funded by the prestigious Horizon Europe Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and led by University College Dublin (Assist. Prof. Aura Istrate). There are 12 vacancies for highly ambitious Doctoral Candidates (DC) to conduct research on how to advance towards achieving climate-neutral cities from different dimensions (Urban Nature, Urban Mobility, Built Form, Energy, Circularity) through citizen engagement and decision-making support.

There is a great team of academics and experts involved in supervision and training of the Doctoral Candidates. The Researchers will be employed on a full-time basis for 36 months and based at one of the six host institutions (University College Dublin (UCD), University of Bologna (UNIBO), University of Girona (UdG), Heidelberg University (UHEI), The University of Helsinki (HU), Queen's University Belfast (QUB)). They will also spend time on secondment at non-academic partners, thereby ensuring that all Researchers will spend time in both academia and industry. The Doctoral Candidates will benefit from a competitive salary, social security, a monthly mobility allowance and a family allowance if applicable. For further details on the salary and benefits visit Vacancies - C-NEWTRAL Doctoral Network, under the 'Additional Details' section.
