Transactions of the Association of European Schools of Planning is AESOP’s international peer-reviewed open-access journal.

It aims to promote excellence in planning education and research and supports the dissemination of scholarly work of the highest quality, covering the whole spectrum of the planning discipline. The journal is open to submissions from all scholars who would like to share their research in the planning discipline. It publishes contributions arising from research taking place across the international planning community and generated through AESOP events and activities such as congresses and thematic group meetings. It serves as a platform for the planning community to share research, innovative practices, and provocative thoughts among peers.

The journal editors invite individual submissions to the journal and proposals for whole special issues or themed features.

All manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer-review process. The journal follows an authentic open access ethos and publishing model: it is free of charge to submit a paper and to publish in Transactions. Accepted papers are accessible online for free.

To submit a paper, please see instructions for authors.
