Dr Sina Shahab

Dr Sina Shahab is Lecturer in Planning and Environmental Policy at Cardiff University and Visiting Assistant Professor at University College Dublin (UCD). Sina’s main research interests lie in planning and land policy analysis, specifically, market-based policy instruments, transaction costs, and new institutional economics. Sina has a demonstrable track record of publishing in top tier peer-reviewed journals. His research papers, including both theoretical and empirical papers have been published in Land Use Policy, Ecological Economics, Planning Theory, Habitat International, Environment and Planning B, Journal of American Planning Association (JAPA), and Town Planning Review. His research is highly rewarded by experts in the field. He has recently been the winner of two prestigious awards: The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Award for Research Excellence 2018 and the Journal of the American Planning Association (JAPA) Article of the Year Award 2019.
