Professor Hope Hui Rising

Hope Hui Rising teaches urban design at the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at the Texas A&M University. She founded the Adaptive Water Urbanism Initiative, an integrated program of teaching, research, and outreach. In addition to facilitating environmental adaptation for individuals, the initiative provides participatory planning and design assistance to communities in need of mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change, including sea level rise, flooding, drought, and extreme temperature.
