PhD, ass prof Berit Nordahl
I am currently head of the section working with spatial planning, property knowledge and real estate development. We are 20 academics representing different disciplines: Law, Economy, Sociology, Geography, Architecture and Planning. We teach three training programmes: Urban and regional planning, land surveying and real estate development. The section has 6 PhD students.
Some key words illustrate our research:
- climate change, coastal areas, natural resource management and planning under conflicting policy goals
- urban morphology, property evaluation, prices, real estate development and real estate business and housing policies
- Commons in national and international perspective including institutions and practises plus land consolidation and reallocation.
My personal research topics are housing policy, market housing and the role of real estate development.
