Published at: 24 May 2021
The 2021 International Geodesign Collaboration virtual meeting will explore applications of geodesign to projects addressing immediate and critical global challenges including climate change, climate migration, and global equity. Researchers, academics, practitioners, and students from an array of allied disciplines will gather to learn from and discuss presentations covering these topics.
IGC 2021 will be conducted via Zoom on Friday and Saturday 18–19 June 2021 (https://www.igc-geodesign.org/attend-igc-2021): - the meeting is generously sponsored by Esri, attendance is free but limited to the first 500 registrants - only registered participants will receive access details – please register now! - students are especially encouraged to attend; - the schedule is arranged to allow all global time zones to participate; - all project presentations will be prepared as short videos. Those will be made available before the conference to enable attendees to prepare discussion questions; - all sessions will be video recorded and made available after the meeting via the IGC website; - special panel discussion is inspired by the AESOP Quality Recognition process and dedicated to enhancing Geodesign education.
We are looking forward to a fruitful meeting to share our work but also to work together to refine the way IGC projects are conducted.
