Call For AESOP Treasurer (2021 - 2025)

The Call for the position of AESOP Treasurer is open!

The new AESOP Treasurer has to be elected during the 09 July 2021 CoRep meeting.

According to the article 23d of the AESOP Charter the mandatory period of the Treasurer is four years. The mandatory period of the new Treasurer will start in August 2021 and will finish in July 2025. According to the article 23j of the AESOP Charter on the expiry of the period of office, the Treasurer is eligible for re-election.

According the article 22b of AESOP Charter only an academic from an AESOP Full Member school of planning represented in the Association may be elected as Treasurer. 

The candidate applying for the position of AESOP Treasurer shall demonstrate an experience in administrating a significant budget, acquaintance with financial matters as well as good communication skills. 

The Treasurer is responsible for the budget of the Association and needs to prepare the annual financial plan and the annual financial statement. These then need to be presented to the Council of Representatives for approval. The Treasurer handle day-to-day financial management and cooperates with the accounting service in order to fulfil the tax obligation under the Belgian law. The language of all documentation is English.

The election will take place during the AESOP Council of Representatives Meeting, on 09 July 2021. Candidates will be asked by the Council to present their respective applications during the meeting.
