The Call for the position of AESOP President is open!

The new AESOP President is to be elected on 11 March 2021
According to Article 23 lit. c of the AESOP Charter the mandatory period of the President is two years. The election takes place one year before the beginning of the mandatory period. During this year, the elected President occupies the position of the Vice President. Having completed the mandatory period, the President moves to the position of the Vice President for a period of one year.
The mandatory period of the new President will start in August 2022 and will finish in August 2024.
From August 2021 to August 2022 and from August 2024 to August 2025 the elected President will be representing AESOP as the Vice President.
According to Article 22 lit. b of the AESOP Charter, only an academic from an AESOP Full Member school may be elected as President.
According to Article 23 lit. j of the AESOP Charter. at the end of the mandatory period of office, the President is not eligible for re-election.
The election will take place during the AESOP Council of Representatives Meeting on 11 March 2021. This meeting will be a virtual event. Candidates might be asked by the Council to present their respective applications during the meeting.
