ACSP Annual Conference 2020 - Registration open!
The core of the ACSP Annual Conference has always been the opportunity to share research, network with peers to strengthen relationships, make new ones, and find opportunities to collaborate. We’re virtually doing our best with ACSP 2020 to continue with this long standing tradition, while transitioning to new ways of accomplishing these goals. ACSP celebrates
its 60th conference this year! In a time when in-person events are just not feasible, ACSP leadership is committed to the continuance of an exceptional conference.
The following are some highlights of what you can expect from ACSP 2020...
The conference schedule will incorporate 70+ roundtable/workshop sessions; 200+ research paper sessions including nearly 1000 papers from authors spanning 30 different countries; Career Information sessions; and social events.
“Racial Equity and Justice in Urban Planning Research and Education in the Face of Ra- cialized Inequality” is the theme for Thursday, our first conference day. This day is a conference within our larger conference, with sessions, roundtable discussions, posters, and keynote panel discussion entirely focused on this theme.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday are just as packed with paper sessions and roundtables to choose from, but highlights include more posters on Friday, Global topics as the highlight on Saturday, and the final day of the conference, Sunday, will be Career themed with job market and student-focused sessions and activities.
We know that the social aspects and informal networking opportunities are valuable to you, so we are exploring creative virtual alternatives to be hosted by our special interest groups: Faculty Women’s Interest Group, Global Planning Educators Interest Group, Inclusion (LGBTQIA + Allies) Interest Group, Planners of Color Interest Group, and our Student Bowling League.
AICP pre-approves the ACSP Conference sessions (for in-person or virtual events),
so AICP members know the sessions they attend will be accepted for continuing education credits. After the conference, please log-in to the AICP database to indicate your attendance.
