Colloque Nature et ville : regards croisés franco-lusophones

13 to 15 June, 2018
Polytech TOURS

The symposium aims to continue and complete the effort of reflection on the space-society-environment relationship already conducted by many researchers, from an interdisciplinary, international and comparative perspective. The aim is to bring together researchers or practitioners interested in the intersection of urban and environmental issues, and mobilizing the contributions of the natural sciences as well as the humanities and social sciences. From a broad interdisciplinary approach, it is expected a renewal of methods and questions raised by the relationship between space, society and environment in an urban context, lato sensu. The symposium aims to better articulate the understanding of spatial phenomena, at different territorial scales, and the reflection on the action aiming at the transformation or the reorganization of the urbanized spaces. It will be an opportunity to draw up a shared assessment of the knowledge of the African, European and American countries in the north and south of the two areas concerned.

For the 2018 edition, we propose as an overall orientation the theme of the relationship between city and nature.
