Prof. Turgay Kerem Koramaz
He has been working in ITU, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning since 2000. He has highlighted information and communication technologies, geo-information sciences, and modeling in urban planning, leading to peer-reviewed publications on the subjects of cultural heritage management, spatial determinants of housing property prices, the locational patterns of cultural venues, and internal migration patterns. Next to his theoretical reasoning and developing evidence-based decision-making processes in urban planning, complementing his existing abilities in methodological framing and information system and computer literacy, he has been involved in professional activities and public consultancy in planning agencies and institutions, which has enabled to collaborate in urban planning schemes in different layouts. He is teaching systems approach in urban planning, information and communication technologies, research methods in urban design, and heritage conservation.
