Simone Tulumello is a Post-doc Research Fellow (Spatial Planning and Human Geography) at the University of Lisbon, Institute of Social Sciences, and holds a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Palermo. Since October 2013 he is elected member of the Coordination Team of the AESOP Young Academics network. His research interests lies at the border between planning research and critical urban studies: planning theory and planning cultures; critical approaches to urban security; conflict, power, and justice in planning; future studies, ICTs and territorial governance; neoliberal urban trends and insurgent practices; Southern European cities and the crisis of Europe. He has published in Urban Geography, International Planning Studies, Planning Practice and Research, Space and Culture, Archivio di Studi Urbani e Regionali.
