Mr Kevin Thomas

Kevin Thomas teaches mainly on the Masters in Town and Regional Planning at Leeds, also on the Masters in Cultural Planning and Policy and other courses. Kevin's research interests include spatial planning and spatial governance, especially at strategic and city region scale.
Current research is dominated by work on urban fringes/ periurban areas including an Interreg project on 'sustainable and competitive urban fringes' in a network that includes Hamburg, the Gothenburg region, Antwerp, Flanders, Twente/ Enschede, Aberdeen, Norfolk and the Leeds City Region.
Recent published work includes analyses of the concept of 'green infrastructure' in strategic policy-making and on programmes to promote 'skills for sustainable development' in Europe.
