urban-e is a digital Journal devoted to the dissemination of good professional practices presented by the authors of the articles, in the fields of land zoning, town planning, sustainability, landscape and urban design.

The journal is edited by the Department of Town Planning and Land Zoning at the Polytechnic University of Madrid School of Architecture. There will be two editions each year.

This first edition was devoted to the "Pilgrims’ Roads to Santiago", and the second edition devoted to “New urban extensions: the eco-neighbourhood as a model”. The topic of this spring’s edition is “The relationship between the sea and built-up areas” while the topic of the next autumn edition will be "New life for brownfields" and the deadline for sending articles in is 1 September 2012.
