The School of Spatial Planning at TU Dortmund University is seeking to fill the position of a

Professor (W3) in “Urban Design and Land Use Planning”

commencing as soon as possible. The successful candidate is expected to represent the field of “urban design and land use planning” in research and teaching.

The ideal candidate has shown evidence of an outstanding research in the field of urban design, land use planning, urban renewal and redevelopment, preservation of historical monuments or housing, e.g. by relevant publications in recognized media with an external quality assurance and by an excellent practical experience in urban design and land use planning. The successful candidate is willing to be involved in internal and external research networks of TU Dortmund University.

An adequate contribution to the curriculum of the School of Planning is expected. The teaching language is German and English.

The successful candidate possesses social and leadership skills and is willing to be involved in academic self-governance.

Preconditions for employment are specified in § 36 and § 37 HG NRW (law governing universities in NRW).
