PhD Research position energy - planning at Groningen

PhD Researcher Planning Resilient Decentralized Energy Systems (1,0 fte) University of Groningen Faculty of Spatial Sciences Department of Spatial Planning & Environment.
The PhD researcher will be based in the Department of Spatial Planning & Environment at the Faculty of Spatial Sciences. The Department of Spatial Planning and Environment has a research agenda which centers on the relationships between institutional innovation and the spatial transformation of the built environment. Part of the Department’s research agenda is the study into the transformation of landscapes and spatial planning strategies related to the transition towards sustainable energy. It is this topic the PhD researcher will address.
The PhD researcher will be part of the MACREDES project; “MApping the contextual Conditions of REsilient Decentralized Energy Systems”. MACREDES is a multidisciplinary research project.
The position is for four years, starting January 2012
