Best Congress Paper Award

The Best AESOP Congress Paper competition has been running as part of the AESOP Congresses since 2005.

The objective of the competition is:
  • to promote and disseminate high-quality congress papers,
  • to stimulate the willingness of congress participants to submit and present full congress papers of high quality
Papers will be judged according to the following criteria:
  • relevance to current debates on the chosen topic,
  • clarity of argument(s),
  • originality of the approach and the ideas presented,
  • high methodological quality,
  • clarity of expression and quality of presentation
The selection of the nominated papers is carried out by a committee.

Best Congress Paper Award Committee

The AESOP Best Congress Paper Award Committee consists of the following members:

The AESOP Council of Representatives has approved Tuna Tasan-Kok as the new Chair of the Best Congress Paper Award Committee.
The election was held at the CoRep Meeting in Warsaw, on 31st March 2017.

AESOP wishes to express a word of gratitude to the previous Chair Nikos Karadimitriou (United Kingdom) and to Beata Banachowicz (Poland) and Karel Maier (Czech Republic) who have been working in the Committee for many years and have now stepped down. Their work has been very much appreciated.
