Objectives The main objective of the Master ReUHREF - Recovery of Urban Heritage and Real Estate Finance is to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for the protection of historic urban areas in order to develop joint projects that will involve both public and private entities. The project integrates the typical disciplines of Real Estate Finance (business models, institutional organization, financial management and real estate valuation) and those of the protection of historical urban contexts (urban recovery and regeneration of historical centres, architectural restoration, historical smart cities, smart building). The Master is addressed to architecture, urban planning, engineering, economics undergraduate students and aims to overcome the gap between public institutions and the private sector entities in the field of management and recovery historical urban heritage, in order to train specific professionals able to promote and manage projects and plans for historical centres. The courses will be taught in Italian.

Faculty The faculty of the master includes academics and experts in the real estate sector who have had experience in activities related to the recovery of historic real estate

Duration and structure of Master The duration of the Master ReUHREF is one year, structured as follows: - six months of lectures (38 ECTS), held at Department of Architecture of Roma Tre University and Roma Tor Vergata University ; - one month of workshop (8 ECTS) jointly organized with public and private institutions; - three months internship (16 ECTS) .

Career opportunities The Master prepares to carry out activities in the field of the recovery of the historical urban heritage and its architecture and balanced and sustainable real estate development. The main professional opportunities are in public institutions (state administrations, regions, municipalities), national and international organizations (ANCSA, UNESCO, World Bank, BID Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, etc.) and private firms in the real estate sector active in the urban regeneration, in the recovery and enhancement of the historical heritage. The interdisciplinary didactic offer of the first semester and the experimental activities to be carried out during the workshops and internships during the master will allow students to acquire specialized and highly interdisciplinary skills.

Requirements for admission Master's or single cycle degree (and corresponding European and extra-European courses) in: • Architecture (LM-3 Landscape architecture, LM-4 Architecture and building engineering-architecture) • Economics (LM-56 Economic Sciences, LM-76 Economic Sciences for the Environment and Culture, LM-77 Economics and Business Sciences) • Jurisprudence (LMG / 01 Jurisprudence) • Engineering (LM-23 Civil engineering, Lm-24 Building systems engineering, LM-35 Environmental and territorial engineering) • Town planning (LM-48 urban and environmental territorial planning). After evaluation by the Course Council, graduates in other disciplines may also be admitted where the training curriculum or professional experience are consistent with the purposes of the Master.

Minimum and maximum number of admitted The minimum number of participants is 10 and no more than 35 students will be admitted per year.

Selection criteria A commission will evaluate applications on the basis of the curriculum, additional qualifications relevant to the Master's profile, and graduation grade of the candidates. For foreign students, a certification of italian language skills (level B2) is mandatory. Application deadline January 17, 2021
