This programme represents a new type of degree, focusing on analysing the issues of, and the tools used, to address the various dimensions of global sustainability in both emerging and mature markets. The effects of urban activities on sustainable and equitable resource use and climate change are becoming increasingly apparent. Meanwhile, issues such as social exclusion, urban competitiveness and economic growth remain a central part of urban management. The programme is designed to equip future urban managers and leaders with an academically-rigorous and professionally-relevant postgraduate qualification tailored to changing global circumstances.
