Tirana Architecture Week 2020 - Science and the City. In the Era of Paradigm Shifts

The Curatorial Team of Tirana Architecture Week 2020, organized by Polis University in Tirana, Albania, would like to invite and encourage you to submit a paper for the TAW2020 International Web-Conference on the topic of Science and the City | In the Era of Paradigm Shifts.
This year, Tirana Architecture Week reaches its fifth edition, and it is aimed at promoting international knowledge linked to practice and research activities, starting from the Albanian context and reaching out to the international scene. The call of this year, titled Speculative and Critical Inquiries on the Com-position of Techno-science, Architecture and the City aims at exploring contemporary research activities and design tactics that investigate the relation between Science and the City in architecture and planning, from different perspectives and within different fields of interest, directly or indirectly related to design, architecture, urban studies, sociology, environmental research, engineering, education and pedagogy. Besides of inviting you to participate we kindly ask you to disseminate this call for paper to your friends, colleagues and all those that might be interested. The deadline for the abstract submission is June 30th, 2020, and for the paper submission August 15th, 2020. The conference will happen online from the 8th to the 11th of October, 2020.
The best papers will also be considered for publication in POLIS’s Scientific Journal Forum A+P, Interdisciplinary Journal of Architecture and Scientific Environment, the only scientific and cultural magazine in the Albanian –speaking countries for the fields of architecture and territory planning.
